Summer is officially over, so without further adieu, let’s talk fall trends. Here are our top 5 denim do’s for Fall 2012:
Trend #1: Metallic Finish
From NYC to Milan, metallics took over the Fall 2012 runways. This season, we put a new spin on our cult-fave Moto jeans and dusted them with a silvery effect. Behold, the Moto Silver Flake. They’re pretty major, so just tuck a basic white blouse or tee into these stunners and layer on a bunch of necklaces (love The Woods or Jennifer Fisher for that). Outfit complete.
Trend #2: Wax Coated
These jeans are our top pick when it comes to adding edge to an outfit without the hefty price tag of leather pants, one of fall’s hugest trends. Before heading out for cocktails, pair the leather-like James Twiggy Slicked Super Skinny jeans with a semi-sheer animal print blouse and slip into a pair of pointy single-sole pumps (they’re back!).
Trend #3: Zipper Detail
This season, zippers are made to be seen. The extra touch of hardware totally jazzes up a simple pair of blue, black – or even printed – jeans. Rock the trend by throwing on this slashed tee and zipping about town in the Trixie Slate Studded jeans or the Trixie Swat Dye legging.
Trend #4: Not-So-Baggy Boyfriend
Boyfriend jeans have long been a must-have in our closets, but this season we’re digging a slimmer pair. Get the look with our comfy Neo Beau Nostalgia boyfriend jeans. Dress up your denim by slipping into some fabulous colorblock heels – we die for these Giuseppes - and carrying a classic top-handle tote, such as Celine’s latest it-bag.
Trend #5: Prints
Happily, one of summer’s most fun denim trends is carrying over into fall. Transition into autumn with the tie-dye washed Moto Skinny jeans styled with a slouchy tee and booties. These classic leather Rag & Bone ankle nippers top our list. Accessorize with a wrist full of bracelets in various widths and materials.
